Campsite Rules

In order to maintain everyone’s enjoyment and pleasure we would ask you to observe the following:

Behaviour /noise
Please consider and respect the privacy of your fellow campers at all times.
Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm with absolute quiet between midnight and 7.00am. There is no tolerance given to offenders in this matter and you may be asked to leave the site. No refunds will be given.
Musical Instruments , radios and other appliances must not be used to cause annoyance.

Dogs
Dogs are welcome but in the interests of hygiene and children’s safety they must be:
Kept on a short lead at all times.
Well-behaved, quiet and child friendly.
Not taken in to the toilet block.

Children
Children are the responsibility of their parents/guardians at all times. So that they are not a nuisance or danger to themselves or others.
Children are not permitted to play in the site toilets, showers or Laundry room.

Drivers – please note
Do not exceed the site speed limit of 5 mph which is equivalent to walking pace.
This includes cyclists.

Group Bookings
A group booking consists of more than 3 pitch bookings holidaying together. Any larger group bookings should be made by telephone and are only accepted at the manager discretion.

Please note we only accept family group bookings.

No unaccompanied persons under the age of 16. If we see an unauthorised group forming we will ask you to leave and no refund of monies will be paid.
We do accept some club and DofE groups with prior arrangement. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult staff member.

When do you open & close for the camping season?2025-05-12T10:14:27+00:00

Our All Weather pitches (Electric & Premium Non-electric Pitches 1 – 38) are open on the 7th March 2025 and close 20th December 2025.
The Standard Grass Pitches (39-90) are open from 1st April 2025 until the 31st October. 2025.

Are there any access restrictions with the Security Barriers?2025-05-12T10:15:16+00:00

Our security barriers allow 24/7 access. The barriers are accessed via a generated code at the time of booking that allows you access from your day of arrival until midday on the day of departure. This code will be given to you when you check in.

Where will I park my car during my stay?2025-05-12T10:51:23+00:00

You are allocated one car per pitch which is to fit in your allocated pitch space (approx 8m x 8m) however if you need an additional car these are charged at £3 per night and we will need the registration to add to our system. Please let us know when checking in if you haven’t booked on your extra car and we can sort this for you.

Are we allowed Fire Pits? Do you Hire them?2025-05-12T10:51:57+00:00

Yes we allow fire pits that are off the ground, we have bricks if you need to raise them up. Only compressed logs are to be burned onsite. We sell compressed logs onsite which can be purchased from reception or from the Warden. This is for our fire safety regulations to keep everyone safe.

Any persons found burning anything else will be asked to leave the site immediately.

You can bring your own fire pit or we do have fire pits to hire, these are available at a first come first served basis.

Can I bring my own BBQ?2025-05-12T10:53:20+00:00

Yes you can bring your own BBQ and burn charcoal however we ask that you don’t put these straight onto the ground as it can scorch and damage the grass. We do have some bricks that if needed you can put underneath.

Any school or DofE bookings should email and enquire with the office directly to ensure the number of people and space needed can be fully discussed.

We only accept family group bookings which have been pre confirmed with the office. You must understand the site rules and comply with the noise policy which is enforced by our team to ensure the family’s staying have an enjoyable experience.

To cancel your booking please call or email the office with as much notice as possible. Any cancellations within the 2 weeks prior to arrival will incur an administration fee.

Yes we accept friendly and well behaved dogs. However they must be kept on a lead at all times for the safety of other families with dogs and also our livestock in surrounding areas.

Both Gazebos and Awnings are allowed. Gazebos are charged an additional £3 per night, awnings are included.

All bookings require the remaining balance to be paid in full 2 weeks prior to the arrival date. An email reminder will be sent 3 weeks prior to give notice then again at 2 weeks with a payment link to pay. Otherwise you can go to the view your booking section found under camping to log in & pay your balance.

Yes, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required on booking whether online or via telephone.

Your full balance is due 2 weeks before your arrival date.

What is the difference between an All Weather Pitch & Standard Grass Pitch?2025-05-12T11:01:42+00:00

All Weather Pitches (1 – 38) are grass with a layer of all weather matting topped with a layer of gravel. These are suitable for all accommodation types from motorhomes, touring caravans & tents. We recommend that you get rock tent pegs as they will be easier to use.

The standard Grass Pitches are just grass! These are suitable for tents & smaller campervans and have no electric hook-up.

Our camping prices vary on pitch type and number of people. The starting prices for each pitch type are shown below all are based on 2 people per night.

The latest arrival time is 10:00 pm as we have our noise policy which is enforced from 10:30 pm to keep noise to a minimum.

When you arrive please follow the path in front of the cafe to the left down to the office. If the office is closed there will be someone on duty and their telephone number or instructions as of what to do will be on the door for you to contact them. You’ll need to do this as they will have your unique barrier code to access your pitch.

Our All Weather Electric (1-28) or All Weather Premium Non-Electric Pitches(29-38) are to be departed by 11am & our Standard Grass Pitches (Pitches 39-90) departure is from 12:00pm midday.

Check-in times are different for each Pitch type so please double check before you set off. For our Standard Grass Pitches (Pitches 39-90) arrival is from 9:30am alternatively if you are on one of our All Weather Electric (1-28) or All Weather Premium Non-Electric Pitches(29-38) these will be ready from after 12:00 pm (midday)

  • Archer’s Cafe, selling Homemade food and cakes – this is very popular year round with the local community

  • Toilet Blocks kept as spotless as we can make them and approx 30 metres from field entrances

  • Free Hot Showers on push button controls

  • Hairdryer – in the ladies toilet block

  • Washing-up facilities – sinks, water and drainers

  • Laundry facilities – Washer and dryer block with iron (coin operated) plus a metered plug for charging e.g. phones

  • Freezer for ice packs

  • Electric Hook Up (limited availability to 28 pitches – book well in advance)

  • Pets Corner – kids love to see the animals

  • Internet connectivity – we strive to provide internet access and WiFi is strongest near the boosters located strategically

  • Phone signals – we have a direct line of sight to key transmitter stations and network coverage is generally not an issue

Every care is taken to ensure our facilities are maintained and the toilet and shower blocks are cleaned daily and on maintained promptly if issues are reported.
